Moving in Day and IKEA

The boys did better last night, as they again awoke at two, but after an hour of playing the bathroom, I was able to get Josh back to sleep and Danny to lay quietly on the bed. Danny never fell asleep, which astounded me, but he was so great at being quiet. I let him get up at five, and I set up Sesame on my computer in the bathroom for him to watch. We checked out of the hotel after breakfast and headed to IKEA to begin buying all that we need to begin living at the apartment. Even though we left the hotel at 9 we did not arrive at the IKEA until about 10:30 (it is only suppose to be 30 minutes away). The traffic was just unreal and it was pouring down rain. IKEA is a huge store and we were able to make it through dishes, utensils, glasses and pots and pans before we all sort of hit the wall in our exhaustion. We pushed ourselves through bedding for the boys and Dustin and I just grabbed plain sheets for us and four towels. I say just grab, but it actually took us close to forty minutes to figure out their system of fitted sheets, flat sheets and all the different sizes we needed. Thankfully they had a large chart on the wall that we referenced to make sure we go the correct sizes. By the time we finished in this area we were dead on our feet and the kids were beginning to fuss. We took our three carts, which were completely full, to the check out. (Thankfully we had our driver come with us, so he pushed our third cart.)
We decided to check out and eat at the cafe that IKEA has within its store. We each had our first Chinese hot dog and ice cream cone. It was actually not bad (I had heard stories that they did not taste like our hot dogs). I found that they really just lacked any flavour at all. After we refueled, we went back to the house to unload.
While I stayed with the boys in the apartment, Dustin ran our to the electronics store to try and buy a wireless router for the computers and our cable phone. By the time he came home I was just exhausted--as were the boys because we had decided to not let them nap in an attempt to get them to sleep through the night. When Dustin came home we made the beds and got everything ready for the night. We had decided to out Josh in a bed as he has become such a climber we are afraid he would fall out of the crib. Dustin moved Josh's bed against the wall and left Danny's where it was located. (The boys are really excited to share a room and allows us to use the other room as a playroom.
After setting up the house, we again went to the clubhouse for dinner (I am so grateful it is literally across the street from our apartment--it would be hard if we had to walk far). We decided to try the other restaurant and we found that this was a little more our style. More relaxed and the prices were more reasonable. We all ate American food, except for Josh who fell asleep before the food could arrive. We came home and put the boys directly to bed. I plan to sleep in the playroom on the sofa bed as we did not have time today to get converters for the monitors. I am praying that they will sleep through the night, as I am completely exhausted.
